We are looking for a reliable and hardworking store helper to assist in the efficient handling of goods and supplies within our storage facilities. The ideal candidate will support the smooth operation of the hotel's stores by receiving, organizing, and distributing stock while ensuring cleanliness and order.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Handling & Organization
• Assist in receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries in the designated areas.
• Ensure that all goods are properly labeled, organized, and stored according to hotel procedures.
• Rotate stock following the First In, First Out method to prevent waste and maintain freshness.
Inventory Support
• Assist in checking deliveries against invoices to verify quantity and quality.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the Stores Supervisor.
• Help conduct regular stock counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
Distribution & Coordination
• Prepare and deliver stock to different hotel departments as per requests.
• Ensure timely and accurate supply of goods to the kitchen, restaurants, bars, and other operational areas.
Health, Safety & Hygiene
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the storage areas following health and safety regulations.
• Follow proper handling procedures for food, beverages, and cleaning supplies.
• Adhere to hotel policies regarding workplace safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements
• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or stockroom role is an advantage but not necessary.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle physical work, including lifting and moving stock.
• Basic understanding of stock control and inventory procedures.
• Team player with a proactive and responsible attitude.
